It's mayhem on the runway as our fearless heroes try to stop the zombie invasion at Fashion Week. Here's our story so far:
Carly was shocked when the hot new guy at Guru Fashion Agency texted her of all people. She barely knew Jake, but suddenly he was cryptically demanding her help and--even more shocking--saying his life depended on it! Before she can figure out if it's all a prank or deadly serious, she and her coworker Joyce discover a dead body in the office's broom closet. To her horror and shock, Joyce insists the cause of death was zombies! Carly struggles with the realization that zombies, vampires, werewolves and more are all real, but there's not much time for thinking--Jake calls again needing her help.
The two women rush to his location in the nearby men's room and find more casualties. Then Jake and Joyce reveal that they are part of a mysterious organization dubbed ZFT: Zombie Force Terminators. As they fend off another attack, Jake and Joyce reveal to Carly that she has a greater purpose than fetching coffee for Prada-clad princesses. For she is The Keeper, the one who can save them all.
Taking refuge at ZFT headquarters in a nearby used bookstore, Carly is surprised to discover the whole office is in on the plan! But she gets a bigger shock when she learns that her DNA is needed to cure the zombie infection. A nefarious and curious plot unfolds in which Coco Chanel masterminded the use of zombies as slave labor to model her clothes and Carly's grandfather had the cure via a serum he created. Unfortunately Chanel's minions stole the serum and now, if Carly doesn't want to kiss a multitude of undead models, she and Jake are going to have to steal it back!
Luckily, an invitation to Fashion Week with all-access passes means they can get close to the Chanel head honcho and steal the serum. To get close enough, Carly will have to go undercover as a model with Jake as backup! As the zombies close in, they race off to Bryant Park and Fashion Week.
Along the way, Jake shares a painful secret about why he got started with the ZFT and they share a moment of camraderie. But soon they're at the tents and spotting their target. The Chanel CEO has the vial around his neck! Now they just need to get close enough to grab it. But first Carly is pulled into makeup and hair. As she gets ready to make her runway debut, Carly's curiosity gets the better of her and she attemps to use her infection-fighting saliva on one of the other models. But it doesn't seem to work, as the undead woman simply pivots and heads out onto the runway. Then through the curtains, a loud crash and gasp from the audience is heard. There's no turning back now! It's showtime!
Pandemonium breaks out in the Chanel tent. Carly slips out into the crowd and manages to snag the vial from the Chanel CEO but then he pulls a gun on Carly and Jake! Luckily, they're able to distract him, knock him out and get away, but the zombies have grabbed Jake and bitten his arm. Carly must deliver a curing kiss, but there's no time for romance. Joyce and the ZFT arrive on the scene and whisk them away.
Just when Carly thinks she's done playing Buffy, Jake and Joyce tell her there's more work to be done. They need to take out the root of the zombie infection, the Queen goddess of fashion herself: the fabulously undead Coco Chanel. Carly will have one chance to get to her and sneak the serum into her drink at a nighttime photoshoot in the park. It's a risky endeavor but Jake assures Carly that they'll have her back. In the meantime, the team must retreat to headquarters and prepare for battle.
Jake and Carly grow closer as the time for the mission draws near. The stakes are high but Carly is determined to succeed. When she reaches the park, a little assistance from an unlikely ally gets her front-and-center with the Zombie Queen of Fashion herself. But time is ticking...will she get her the cure in time? And what will happen if and when she does? When the mission's over, will her relationship with Jake end too?
