 You can write an original audiobook story on Twitter with #1 New York Times Bestselling Author  Meg Cabot  Starting February 16 at Noon EST, author Meg Cabot (@megcabot) will launch a special interactive storytelling experience. She'll tweet the first line of an original tale and then the rest is up to you! Just login to your Twitter account (registration is free) to tweet your own suggested sentence to continue the tale.   How Does it Work? The Lord of the Rings... in Concert?

If you're a Tolkien fan, then you might just want to make a little pilgrimage to New York City the weekend of October 9-11. That's when Radio City Music Hall will be presenting The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring in Concert! A full orchestral performance of the score from the recent hit film, created by Howard Shore, will be perfectly synchronized to accompany a screening of the 178-minute movie. What more could a Ringer ask for? A special sound mix of the movie is created that allows for dialogue and light sound effects to be heard but that showcases the orchestra's performance, which is carefully timed using a special color-coded software that signals the conductor to passage changes and tempo fluctuations in the score. Former Doctor Tom Baker Returns for Who Audiobooks

As reported (to much fan fair) by Wired.com, the fourth actor to play the lead in the cult hit TV show Doctor Who, Tom Baker, who portrayed the time-traveling hero from 1974 to 1981, is returning to the iconic role--on audio! Baker is in the studio recording a new five-program series for BBC Audiobooks (look for them to be offered in our catalogue this coming January as a complete set). The Doctor Who: Hornets’ Nest series was penned by Paul Magrs and also stars Richard Franklin, Susan Jameson, and Rula Lenska. Now 75 years old, Baker is the Doctor most Americans recognize and associate with the role, since his episodes were some of the first to be imported and aired here on PBS in the 1980s.
