BBC Audiobooks America publishes and distributes unabridged audiobooks and radio dramatizations. We take great pride in our quality sound recordings, our fabulous authors, expressive narrators and great staff.
To give you a little background, we started out in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, as a large print publisher (Curley Publishing). Chivers Press (our original parent company) bought Curley Publishing and renamed it Chivers North America. After a couple of years, Chivers North America moved to Hampton, New Hampshire (guess it wasn’t cold enough on Cape Cod!). In August 2001, BBC Worldwide Ltd. bought Chivers Press and, as part of the deal, Chivers North America (us!). We then changed our name to BBC Audiobooks America and continued to operate out of New Hampshire until October 2005. We now make our home in North Kingstown, Rhode Island to accommodate our continued growth.
